DayTwo: As Our Eyes Meet

"Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink." Genesis 21:19

Today as I was praying for Kony I asked God that Kony's eyes may be opened to what he is doing. That today he will look into the eyes of one of the children, and see their pain.
God specifically gave me the image of a small girl who had been raped, and beaten, her face worn and her eyes empty. Hope was lost.
As she looked up at the man who allowed this to happen to her, who facilitated her kidnapping, her stone cold face, and empty eyes met with Kony's. At that moment, something stirred in Kony's heart.
I believe that this has happened to him, his heart is softening, this is the beginning of his heart change.
As he looked into the eyes of that young girl he didn't see hopelessness, but rather a small glimpse of the love of the father.

Although I had a very busy schedule and worked all day I was so grateful, because God provided me with not just the energy to get through my day, but an abundance of energy and excitement, a spirit of joy and gladness.

"For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known." 1 Corinthians 13:12

The encouraging words of others have been great, I really appreciate all of you that are out there fighting for me as I continue this journey, but most importantly fighting also for the salvation of Joseph Kony.

Love you all!
Kate
