DayFour: A Full Life in The Emptiest of Places

This evening I was studying this, and just felt like sharing it. I don't have all that much to update you on today, just wanted to give you this to chew on =]

Isaiah 58 (MSG)
6-9"This is the kind of fast day I'm after:
to break the chains of injustice,
get rid of exploitation in the workplace,
   free the oppressed,
   cancel debts.
What I'm interested in seeing you do is:
sharing your food with the hungry,
inviting the homeless poor into your homes,
putting clothes on the shivering ill-clad,
being available to your own families.
Do this and the lights will turn on,
and your lives will turn around at once.
Your righteousness will pave your way.
The God of glory will secure your passage.
Then when you pray, God will answer.
You'll call out for help and I'll say, 'Here I am.'

9-12"If you get rid of unfair practices,
   quit blaming victims,
quit gossiping about other people's sins,
If you are generous with the hungry
and start giving yourselves to the down-and-out,
Your lives will begin to glow in the darkness,
your shadowed lives will be bathed in sunlight.
I will always show you where to go.
I'll give you a full life in the emptiest of places—
   firm muscles, strong bones.
You'll be like a well-watered garden,
a gurgling spring that never runs dry.
You'll use the old rubble of past lives to build anew,
rebuild the foundations from out of your past.
You'll be known as those who can fix anything,
restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate,
   make the community livable again.
13-14"If you watch your step on the Sabbath
and don't use my holy day for personal advantage,
If you treat the Sabbath as a day of joy,
God's holy day as a celebration,
If you honor it by refusing 'business as usual,'
making money, running here and there—
Then you'll be free to enjoy God!
Oh, I'll make you ride high and soar above it all.
I'll make you feast on the inheritance of your ancestor Jacob."
   Yes! God says so!

DayThree: JESUS 2012

For me the best way that I can express myself and express my emotions in prayer is through writing to God. A lot of the things that I post here are from my journal entries throughout the day. I tend to write... a lot.
Today as I was writing to God this is what I wrote, and the revelation and words that he spoke back to me:

"Father I pray that Kony, and those in the LRA will see the heavenly realms. That you will reveal to them your angels. That as they see this glimpse of heaven Kony's knee will bow and tongue confess that you are Lord of all! Through this heavenly experience the captives will be set free, and when April 20th hits Kony will not be made famous, but Jesus will be made famous!! We are called (all of us) to make HIS name known. Through fame you gain riches, influence, and impact. Are we going to choose to bring fame to Kony, or choose to bring fame to the one who deserves all the glory. Rather then making Kony's name known on the streets why don't we make our heavenly father's name known? Make Jesus Famous!"

Dictionary Definitions
Fame: Widespread reputation, especially of favorable character; renown, public eminance; celebrated.
Eminance: High station or rank, a high place or part, a title of honor.

Do we want to give favor to Kony? Or honor him? Celebrate him? Rank him higher?
Making Kony famous could be dangerous, but if we believe that this man is saved in the name of Jesus, then the glory and honor will be brought directly to Jesus. We will give him all of the honor, and all of the glory, for His great works.

"Those who honor me I will honor" 1 Samuel 2:30

Famine------>Fame
Is this famine, am I in a famine, no today God proved to be that I am full, I am full of his love, and through that love he gives me so much strength to get through my day, strength to get through every workout, strength to stay healthy and alive. I am well fed. But when we are in a famine are we going to choose to put all things aside, or are we going to choose to bring fame to the Father. I choose to say no to what society sees as okay and say yes to what the Lord says that I am, and what he is calling me to be.

"Who shall seperate us from the love of Christ? Shall hardship, or prosecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger or sword?" Romans 8:35

DayTwo: As Our Eyes Meet

"Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink." Genesis 21:19

Today as I was praying for Kony I asked God that Kony's eyes may be opened to what he is doing. That today he will look into the eyes of one of the children, and see their pain.
God specifically gave me the image of a small girl who had been raped, and beaten, her face worn and her eyes empty. Hope was lost.
As she looked up at the man who allowed this to happen to her, who facilitated her kidnapping, her stone cold face, and empty eyes met with Kony's. At that moment, something stirred in Kony's heart.
I believe that this has happened to him, his heart is softening, this is the beginning of his heart change.
As he looked into the eyes of that young girl he didn't see hopelessness, but rather a small glimpse of the love of the father.

Although I had a very busy schedule and worked all day I was so grateful, because God provided me with not just the energy to get through my day, but an abundance of energy and excitement, a spirit of joy and gladness.

"For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known." 1 Corinthians 13:12

The encouraging words of others have been great, I really appreciate all of you that are out there fighting for me as I continue this journey, but most importantly fighting also for the salvation of Joseph Kony.

Love you all!

DayOne: The Knowledge of His Glory

Today I had the opportunity to attend a small meeting at Grace Bible Church in Conway, AR called Perspective. A woman from Heart of God Ministries, Jamie West Zumwalt spoke about the very first missionaries. She spoke of great people like William Carey, Robert Morrison, Mary Slosson, and Amy Carmichael to name a few.
As I spent this time listening to this incredible woman of great integrity speak to this small group of people God kept repeating to me, "Kate, you are only a vessel."
I am a vessel and I will be used by God these next 40 days. I need to believe that I am an important vessel, and I must honor it, by putting my faith in him 100%.
These next 40 days are not to glorify anything I will do, but rather glorifying what God will do through me, and what God will be doing through the thousands of people that are part of this KONY 2012 movement.
John 12:24 "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit."
As the first wave missionaries began to land onto the shore, they left there western style home knowing that they needed to die to their flesh in order to do the perfect will of God.
Jamie stated, "like the first wave missionaries; do not live your life in the face death."
Although the first wave missionaries went out knowing that what they were about to do could lead to death, they did not live their lives with this mindset. They lived knowing they were going to go out and do the will of God, and make what many thought was impossible, possible.
I am truly so excited for what God will be revealing through me. I am so ready for this journey, and believe that KONY will for the first time hear God's still small voice.
That through the chaos, the lies of the enemy, and the cries of the children, all this may be stilled, and the voice of God may be heard.
KONY will no longer have to live looking at death, but rather look death in the face and be brought to life.

In Jesus name, Amen.

DayZero:My Awakening

Yesterday as I watched the Kony 2012 documentary my mind began to stir. As I see this movement explode it excites me. But at the same time I want to take great caution in a few things. As I went to bed last night my mind was spinning with thoughts. These are a few of the thoughts I was left with in my restless sleep:
In response to the disciples asking "who is my neighbor?" Jesus shared the story of the Good Samaritan.
What I strive for most is to live Christ like, and as hard as it is for my mind to grasp loving Kony, that is what I am called to do.
"In this world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33
If I saw Kony along the side of the road, helpless, beaten, and hopeless, would I come to his aid? Its hard to say.
Although I may not experience seeing Kony himself along the side of the road we are at a fork in the road.
We can choose to participate in Kony 2012 or not. But whatever we do, it is going to happen. We will wake up April 20 to hundreds of posters making Kony famous.
Should Kony be captured? Yes. Should he be punished, I believe so. But in the meantime I am going to pray that he will be rescued from the pits of hell!!!!
Will these prayers test my heart? YES! But through this I want to experience I long and high and wide and deep is the love of the father.
The same father that calls me his daughter, his beloved, his precious child, is the VERY SAME FATHER that is crying out for Kony!!!!
THAT IS LOVE!!!!! GOD loves Kony just as much as he loves me!!! WOAH!
If my father in heaven can rescue Paul the man who killed innocent Christ followers, he can, and I believe that he will rescue Kony, the man who is killing innocent children!!!
From now till April 20 I am praying Kony chains of sin will be broken and that he will see what true freedom, and the love of the father is! Will it take a lot of faith to pray such a prayer. YES! But through these next 40 days, I know that God will reveal so much to me, and I will begin to see just one more glimpse of the divine love the father has for each and every one of his children!
As I sit here recording all of these thoughts I realize that Kony 2012 is 41 days away. My heavenly father is interceding and believing in Kony’s salvation, but is anyone else. Can we grasp this love the father has for Kony? The goal for Kony 2012 is for the capture and potential death of Joseph Kony in order to stop what he has begun. God wants his son to live in heaven with him, praising his name for eternity. I pray that I may desire to have these same thoughts. NO sin is greater than any other.
Tomorrow marks day one of this 40 day journey.
Some may say to me: “this isn’t a good time, you are running a marathon in a few weeks, and we have the ARC conference. We workout everyday and we are so busy. Our schedule in Cadre is so hectic. But, I believe that there isn’t a better time to do this. It isn’t a coincidence that I had this revelation 41 days before Kony 2012. I believe that as I desire to pray for Kony’s salvation; strength, rest and health will come into play in order to facilitate this journey I will partake in.

And so begins KONY 1961-

Everyday I will be posting a new note on Facebook, updating my journey. I will also be posting this unto a blog. Please stay in prayer and stay updated through social media.

all for HIS glory!
